Spread the love

The Muslim Community in the Lagos State House of Assembly facilitate with the entire Muslims in the country on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr 1441 A.H.(Year 2020)

We express our gratitude to Allah for giving us the privilege to observe the Ramadan fast despite the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

May Almighty Allah heal the sick and grant us the opportunity to witness and observe many more Ramadans on earth. May Allah grant us the reward casting on earth and in the hereafter.Amin.

It must be pointed out that this year’s Ramadan was unique. Having observed the fast without the usual congregation in our various mosques. We painstakingly adhered to government directive on keeping of social distancing to prevent the deadly covid-19 from escalating. Yet, by Allah’s rahmah, we were able to carry out the Islamic injunctions in accordance to the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet, Muahammad (S.A.W.).

We use this opportunity to enjoin our dear Muslim brothers and sisters to ensure that Zakat Fitr is done per head in every household. This is an important Sunnah that purifies our shortcomings during the fast.

In line with the State Government guidelines on social distancing, we remind you that mosques are not opened yet. Therefore, on the Eid day, let’s observe our prayer at our various homes. This is one of the ways of demonstrating to the world the beauty of Islam as regard displaying exemplary conduct. Remember, obedience in Islam also encompasses compliance to the directives of  those in the position of authorities.

Once again, we pray Allah use the baraka of Ramadan to heal the world of coronavirus and other diseases. It is our utmost desire that our dear country and States shall be liberated from the pangs of all ailments and their attendant painful effects.

Eid Mubarak to you all.
