Renowned Maritime expert and businessman, Comrade Ameh Ogedegbe, has emerged the Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the position of the Isoko North Constituency representative in the Delta State House of Assembly.

Ogedegbe who was recently unveiled by the party amidst pump and pageantry, is said to have emerged at an enlarged party congress held few days to the closure of the window for party primaries set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Ameh who is the son of the highly respected Chief Joseph Ogedegbe, a former Central Bank Director, politician and farmer, is seeking to unseat the incumbent, Hon. Tim Owhefere who doubles as the Assembly’s Majority Leader.

Addressing a crowd of party members and supporters, Ogedegbe said he was motivated to take up the challenge in view of the fact that the people of the constituency has been underrepresented over the years.

“Ours is a movement to totally replace a system that has offered our people next to nothing over the years. The clamor for the youths to take up key leadership roles has reached its crescendo. I am today offering myself as a servant and a messenger of the people of Isoko North to Asaba to bring home what rightly belongs to us” Ogedegbe said.
