Cristiano Ronaldo made more Champions League history in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Juventus on Tuesday.

The Portuguese star required less than three minutes to open the scoring in the quarter-final first leg, before adding a spectacular bicycle kick in the second half.

Ronaldo’s double took him to 39 goals in all competitions this season – more than any other player in Europe’s big five leagues.

The Portuguese has now scored nine Champions League goals against Juventus, with no player having scored more goals against a single opponent in the competition.

He is also now the first man in the competition’s history to score in 10 successive appearances, with the records continuing to tumble for the remarkable talent who raises the bar year after year.
