Real Madrid’s attacking BBA trident have won over the fans as well as Julen Lopetegui.
The trio, formed by Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, and Marco Asensio, have fans excited after their great performances in the first LaLiga Santander matches this season.
According to the results of a poll published by MARCA on Thursday, the majority of readers voted for the BBA trio to lead the attack.
Asked who they would drop from the staring XI, just three percent wanted Bale benched, just seven percent wanted rid of Asensio and just 16 percent called for Benzema to step aside.
So far this season the Frenchman has scored five goals (four in the league and one in the UEFA Super Cup), while the Welshman has netted three goals in the domestic competition, with two assists (one in the league and one in the UEFA Super Cup).
Meanwhile, Asensio has scored with his country and, with his club, has provided three assists, all of them in LaLiga Santander.
Lopetegui has been happy to start these three players up front so far and, looking ahead to Real Madrid‘s visit to San Mames this Saturday, everything looks to be the same in the attack.
Benzema has been training for two weeks at Valdebebas and will be completely fit for the match since he did not take part in the international break.
However, Bale did serve his country and had an impressive performance, netting a stunning goal to lead Wales to a 4-1 victory against the Republic of Ireland and Asensio also arrives in top form after being the player of the match in Spain‘s thrilling 6-0 triumph over Croatia.
As for the players who MARCA readers would take out of the starting XI, 30 percent voted for Casemiro to be dropped and 31 percent did so with regards to Isco.
