Aubameyang, Lacazette On Score Sheet As Arsenal Trash Stoke City

Paul Lambert’s Stoke City side proved a much tougher opponent than Arsenal expected, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang proving decisive in their 3-0 win.

Up until the 75th minute, the Potters had kept the Gunners at bay and might’ve even taken the lead themselves.

Xherdan Shaqiri, who had been hugely critical of his teammates before the match, saw his shot cannon back off of the post.

Aaron Ramsey had also seen a first half chance hit the woodwork, on a day when it appeared neither side could do enough to break the deadlock.

However, after Mesut Ozil was taken down in the area, Aubameyang made no mistake.

With four minutes left, Stoke pushed forward in the hope of an equaliser but left themselves light at the back.

The striker made no mistake for his, and Arsenal’s, second, and then Alexandre Lacazette rubbed salt into the wound with another goal from the spot in the last minute of normal time.
