Another Setback For Emery, Arsenal At Leicester

Spread the love

Arsenal continued to jeopardise their Champions League hopes on Sunday as they crumbled to a 3-0 defeat away to Leicester City.

Though they remain in fifth place ahead of Manchester United‘s game against ChelseaUnai Emery‘s side have seriously struggled of late.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles was sent off in the first half, which was the beginning of a bad day for the Londoners.

He was forced to slide in on James Maddison after a poor first touch and he saw a second yellow card.

The game was scoreless at half time, but Youri Tielemans put the Foxes ahead on the hour mark as he delayed his arrival in the box before Maddison picked him out.

Jamie Vardy, never far from the action, scored twice in the final 10 minutes to further compound the Gunners’ woes.

His first came as he made the most of Sokratis Papastathopoulos failing to deal with a ball, before he rounded out the scoring in the sixth minute of additional time from close range.
