The running mate of  Mr Godwin Ezeemo of  the Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) in the Anambra  governorship election, Mr Stanley Nkwoka, on Thursday pleaded with eligible voters in Enugwu-Ukwu community to massively vote for the party.

Nkwoka made the plea during the party’s final campaign  in Enugwu-Ukwu Njikoka  Local Government Area of the state.

He urged all eligible voters in the community not to have a ‘laissez faire attitude’ towards the Nov. 18 election, but to brighten their destiny by speaking through their votes.

The running mate said it was time for the people to take the front seat in the room where decisions  affecting their lives were being taken by making the right choice of candidates to govern them.

“ I beg you to vote PPA, the only stable political party in the country with a manifesto,” he said

Nkwoka said that with Security, Health, Agriculture, Power  and  Education (SHAPE), the state would be returned  to its lost glory.

He urged voters not to allow desperate politicians to lure them into political fraud by using inducement or intimidation.

The PPA gubernatorial running mate said that the party  had designed programmes that would change the present socio-economic situation in the state.

Nkwoka said that the party had a manifesto that had captured both the needs of the elderly, the young and the youth, as well as the welfare of workers in the state.

He said that Ezeemo, the party’s gubernatorial candidate, had created jobs for over 2,000 people and empowered no fewer than 1,000 youths and widows through skill acquisition, among others.

Nkwoka said that Ezeemo would do more if he emerged as governor  of the state.

Responding, Mr Augustine Agu, a leader from the area,  assured him of bloc  votes in the area, saying that Ezeemo had contributed to development in the area.

Agu said it was time for the people of the area to say thank  you for his benevolence to the people, and assured him of their prayers.

Mr Ifeanyi Akangwu, a member of the community, also assured the PPA of votes in the area, especially because of the philanthropy  shown to the people far before election time by Ezeemo.

Mrs Azuka Okafor, another member of the community, said that if other candidates would emulate the PPA flag bearer  by touching people’s lives before election time,  it would be difficult to choose a candidate during elections.

She said that since many, however, only come in once in a blue moon,  the people would vote for the person that touches  their lives regularly.

Mr Onyeka Anene, a resident of the area, said that the PPA was truly a party with a good vision for the people because its flag bearer lives the talk and not just talks.

Anene said that Ezeemo was not from the area, but the community had enjoyed his wealth without being a governor and imagined what would happen if elected.
