Ahmadiyya Holds National Peace Conference In Abuja

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogora, ex-Head of State, General Abdul Salami Abubakar, His Eminence Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Mallam Yusuf Alli (SAN) and His Grace Most Reverend Oche Job of the Methodist Cathedral are set for the Ahmadiyya National Peace Conference in Abuja, Friday 23rd to 25th March 2018. Other distinguished Guest of Honour is Honourable Mutiu Shadimu, from the National Assembly.

During the three day programme which will feature a National Peace Award, Peace related lectures from all religions will be moderated by the Director News Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Aliyu Baba Barau Mallam, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria will also honour one of Nigeria’s Muslim icons, lawyer, Philanthropist and Human Rights crusader, Mallam Yusuf Alli (SAN) for the 2017 National Peace Award.

The theme of the National Peace symposium is Justice and National Peace: The Role of Religion at the International Press Centre, Abuja. Three other papers will be presented at the National educational and training conference. They are The Objective of the Advent of the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi by Missionary Lukman Shoretire.

The second paper is Khilafat in Islam; Reformation and Source of World Peace by Barrister Bashirudeen BADR Muhammed, while the third paper is on Importance of Obedience to Khilafat Ahmadiyya and Nisaam-i-Jamaat by Barrister Abdul Qadeer Mustapha.

A health talk on Managing the Old Age will be presented by Dr Ahmad Mudassar of Ahmadiyya hospital Kano. Special night prayers session –Tahajjud will also be held for peace and National development of Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole.

Tour of the exhibition stand will be done by the Amir Sahib (National Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Dr Mashu’ud Adenrele Fasola.
