An activist and public commentator, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the appointment of Mr Ismail Adewusi as the Post Master General of the Federation.
In a media interaction in Lagos yesterday, Olokoba said Mr. President has made a good choice with the appointment of Adewusi who he described as a tested and trusted hand, saying, “the choice of Adewusi is simply means picking a round peg for a round hole.”
According to him, Nigerians can be assures that the sophisticated institution is in a safe hand and will be taken to a better height with Adewusi at the helms of affairs, those who advised the President over the appointment were patriotic Nigerians who want the best for the country.
Olokoba therefore urged the new appointee to put in his best to convince the good people of Nigeria that President Buhari did not make a mistake in singling him out of almos 200 million people in the country.
“Mr. Ismail Adewusi is somebody I know very well as a workaholic, tireless administrator and forthright Nigerian whose track record as a Commissioner in Lagos under Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s administration. And I am sure he will transfer his knowledge, experience and international exposure to take NIPOST to an enviable height of world standard,” Olokoba enthused.
Against this backdrop, the renowned social analyst therefore enjoined Nigerians to support Adewusi to bring his expertise to bear on the postal sector for the good of the generality of the people, asserting that, “Adewusi will not disappoint us.”
