19 Benefits From Ahmadiyya Nigeria New Media Training

The nineteen individuals who participated in a 2-days training on New Media, at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria (AMJN) headquarters, Ojokoro, Lagos, South-west, Nigeria were full of praise for the leadership of the organization.

Each of the participants, drawn from different walks of life, who spoke with our correspondent at the end of the program on Sunday, 28th January, 2018, expressed happiness recanting their experiences.

Of specific advantage is the fact that the program exposed them to the variety of human capabilities, consciousness for opportunities for role-play, emergence of entrepreneurship among others.

The Convener of the program, Dr Qasim Akinreti, who equally stood in for the National President (Amir Sahib) AMJN, Dr. Mash’hud Adenrele Fashola while interacting with the participants listed the expectation behind sitting.

“AMJN wants to identify with the need for networking in coming up with something beneficial, pushing it up and forward. Getting capable hands for volunteers in populating the Crew of ‘The Truth newspaper’, was an additional reason.

He added that “when things fully take shape, nothing prevent the present undertaking from transforming into a chapel of Journalism “.

He therefore charged each one of the participants who present to do the needful, vanquish procrastination and leave no stone unturned in the drive to take ‘The Truth newspaper’ back to the enviable position it possessed in the early days when Maulana Nasim Saifi was in the driver’s seat.

“Everyone who works selflessly for the cause of Allah, is assuredly on the way to sacking his human Boss”, he concluded.

The forum set aside opportunity to discredit the decreasing reading habits among the new generation; stressing that ‘readers lead and whoever’s not informed gets deformed!

One of the resource person, Mr Jumu’ah Abiodun, inspired the participants with series of his works as he took them on New Media. Abiodun who is a media expert started the lecture by relating his experience as a journalist.

Earlier, an ECOWAS engaged Media Consultant, Mr Adiamoh AbdulGaniyy, took the house on a 2 hours drilling on page planning.

An Accounting Consultant, Mr A.A Adegbola firm, exhibit at the occasion, educated AMJN to turn the trend of having copies unsold newspapers by embracing standard marketing operating methods. To him, Nigerian prints are terribly deficient for the teeming populace.

Before the participants eventually departed, Dr Akinreti who is also the National Secretary Publications and Media Relations of the Jama’at promised to plead with Dr Fashola for stag another training in 2 months.
